A new announcement has revealed that Black Ops 6 is getting a free trial during Battlefield 6’s launch week.
Battlefield 6 is set to launch on October 10, 2025, and many players believe that Call of Duty might be in trouble with the latest Battlefield installment poised to become the new FPS king. It appears that Activision is not going to let Battlefield 6’s launch week go empty, as they are offering an extensive free trial of Black Ops 6 during the same time period.
Black Ops 6 Free Trial Perfectly Aligns With Battlefield 6’s Launch Week
Through a recent blog post, Activision confirmed that Black Ops 6 will be available for free for an entire week, starting October 9 at 9:00 AM PT and ending October 16 at 10:00 AM PT. During this time, players will not only be able to access the entirety of the multiplayer and zombies modes, but also explore the game’s campaign for the first time. However, ranked play will not be included in the free trial.
In terms of maps and modes and other content included, players will be able to access “40+ Multiplayer Maps, all six Zombies Maps including Directed Mode, and new content from The Haunting like the Gravity, Rig, and Mothball Multiplayer maps, Haunted Havoc Zombies limited-time mode, and more.” Check out all the featured maps and modes in the infographic embedded below:

In other news, Call of Duty: Black Ops 7’s open beta has been extended to October 9, 2025, which is also pretty close to Battlefield 6’s launch. Additionally, the game doesn’t include wall runs as the timeline doesn’t allow it. What are your thoughts on Black Ops 6 being free during Battlefield 6’s launch week?
