It’s time for another outrageous indie hit in 2025. Megabonk is a rampant roguelike that floods your screen with projectiles, pain, and power-ups. It’s been a big hit on PC, and PS5, and Xbox users want to know if it’s on console.
You only need to take one look at Monke to realize Megabonk aura farms. Its art style might look primitive, but there’s nothing basic about the game’s complex labyrinth of systems and synergy. Your goal is to assemble stupidly OP builds and decimate wave after wave of enemies.
Megabonk quickly became one of the most-played titles on Steam after its launch à la Schedule 1 and REPO. We’ve whipped up this quick guide explaining whether it’s on PlayStation or Xbox consoles.
Can You Play Megabonk on PlayStation Consoles? PS4 & PS5 Status Explained

You currently can’t play Megabonk on either PlayStation 4 or PlayStation 5.
Megabonk was released on September 18, and players have gravitated to the game quicker than cats around a freshly opened tin of tuna. Its steam rating is ‘Very Positive’ and the game’s addictive nature has understandably got everyone hooked.
While you can connect a PS5 controller and play it on Steam, it’s not available on PlayStation—on old-gen or current-gen hardware.
Can You Play Megabonk on Xbox Consoles? Xbox One & Xbox Series X|S Status Explained
It’s the same case for Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S owners, as Megabonk currently can’t be played on Xbox in any way.
For the latest on Megabonk’s console status, we turn to the game’s lone developer—known as ved on Discord—who has confirmed that the game is “Not on console yet.” The message was posted to the game’s lively Discord server on September 2: Breaking hearts before launch.
But all is not lost! ved has also told the community: “Console would be really cool one day!“
Megabonk will remain a Steam sensation and live in paradise on PC. Like all successful indie games, ved probably wants to see if Megabonk is sustainable and retains interest. The developer is promising free content and updates in the future. If you stick around long enough, you might be able to boost the game’s profile and force the roguelike to warrant a console launch.
For now, we’ll luxuriate in the game’s endless sea of loot.
