A new announcement has confirmed that Rock Band 4 will be delisted on October 5, 2025, which is also the game’s 10th anniversary.
Rock Band 4 has been available for nearly 10 years now; however, the game has not received any new content for a considerable time. The last time the game received a DLC was back in January 2024, and it has been quiet since then. Now, the final days have arrived, as the game will be removed from stores this weekend.
Rock Band 4 Is Being Delisted as Licenses Are Expiring
Spotted by Wario64 on X (formerly Twitter), Rock Band 4 developers confirmed that the game is being delisted through an announcement on their official Discord. The developers confirmed that the game will be removed from PlayStation and Xbox Digital Stores this Sunday, October 5, and all the DLC will be removed as well. The reason for removal is that the original licenses for the core soundtrack are expiring.
Players who already own the game don’t need to worry, as they will retain full access. This means they will be allowed to download the game and songs to any compatible device; this also applies to DLC.
Interested players can purchase the Rock Band 4 Rivals 4 Bundle through the PlayStation and Xbox Digital Stores right now; it is priced at $9.99. The fourth instalment of the series features online play for public and private sessions, a Rivals mode will allow players to band together across the globe and compete in a stats battle, and Rockudrama, which is the story of your band’s triumph over adversity, visualised through a playable music documentary.
