The first Borderlands 4 Story Pack DLC is on the way, and Gearbox has locked in a Q1 2026 release. It introduces C4SH—a new Vault Hunter—new Abilities, items, gear, and story content.
Despite PC instability and Randy Pitchford telling you to code your own game—or refund Borderlands 4 if you’re unhappy—the fourth mainline game has done exceptionally well. It’s already cleared 2.5 million copies sold since launch, and the first batch of DLC has been announced.
First Borderlands 4 DLC Arrives Q1 2026

A 2K press release has unveiled C4SH: “A former casino dealer bot, C4SH is now a drifter who chases the probability-breaking highs of cursed eldritch artifacts.”
The character is part of the first Story Pack—content reserved for Super Deluxe Edition owners, and it will also be released separately.
The pack arrives sometime between January 2026 and the end of March 2026, and it also includes the new Mad Ellie and the Vault of the Damned story content. This means you’ll have more content to enjoy and the long-awaited return of Pearlescent-rarity gear to look forward to at the beginning of 2026, as it’s also arriving in Q1 2026.
If you’ve not upgraded to one of Borderlands 4’s superior editions, you’ll still be entitled to a bunch of free updates. Gearbox is promising “Seasonal Mini-Events, Invincible Bosses, and more.”
