EA Sports has announced the release date and platforms for NHL 26.
As part of the game’s full reveal on Wednesday (August 6), it was announced that NHL 26 will release on September 12 for the Standard Edition. Those who buy the Deluxe Edition of the game will get it 7 days earlier on September 5.
The September release date marks the first time since 2019’s NHL 20 that the game is releasing in September. The last five games have all launched in October.

In addition to the release date, it was confirmed that the game will launch on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Those hoping for a PC or Nintendo Switch 2 release will have to wait at least one more year.
Other features of NHL 26 include a revamped Be-A-Pro mode, ICE-Q 2.0 gameplay, and new HUT seasons. There was no mention to changes to the game’s franchise mode.

Used to look forward to nhl every year but the game has just not been the same. As an offline player for year I only play franchise mode and I do credit ea for putting in some work but it just seems like now a days most developers only care about the initial purchase and how much money people spend in game.
