EA and Battlefield Studios are preparing to serve up Battlefield 6. With Xbox Game Pass always lurking around the gaming scene, I’m here to let you know if the FPS sequel is taking cover from the subscription service, or if the two are brothers in arms.
Aptly, the gaming market is like a battlefield at times. Releases happen left, right, and center; there’s always a new controversy, and consumers are finding the best way to consume gaming media. One of the most efficient ways to play games is through Xbox Game Pass. Xbox’s paid subscription model offers many games each month—which brings me to Battlefield 6.
If Battlefield 6 plays as good as it looks—with the game’s beta tests a good chance to find out—a Game Pass launch might not be a bad idea.
Do we Know if Battlefield 6 Will Launch on Xbox Game Pass Day One?
There’s no official confirmation from EA or Battlefield Studios on Battlefield 6’s Xbox Game Pass status yet, but there’s plenty of evidence to suggest BF6 is not coming to Xbox Game Pass.
Even when there are no answers, there’s always an educated conclusion. Firstly, the Battlefield 6 Xbox Store page would have the Game Pass logo by now. Letting people know that BF6 is coming to Xbox Game Pass would be imperative for sales and interest for both the shooter and Game Pass. This is the first indicator that it’s not happening.
Secondly, none of the trailers or the multiplayer reveal event has mentioned Game Pass even once. It doesn’t take a genius to realize it’s probably not happening.
Furthermore, Battlefield 6 is accessible through the EA App. You can get money off your BF6 purchase with an EA Play subscription. I don’t think I need to beat around the bush anymore; Battlefield 6 is probably 99% certain not to be on Xbox Game Pass from day one.
This doesn’t mean it won’t ever happen.
Will Battlefield 6 Ever Come to Xbox Game Pass?
Battlefield 6 coming to Xbox Game Pass won’t be occurring anytime soon, but based on previous Battlefield games, there’s a very good chance you can play Battlefield 6 on Game Pass if you’re patient enough.
You can play Battlefield 2042 on Xbox Game Pass right now. It took one year for EA to bring the game to the subscription service. The reception to BF 2042 wasn’t great, so if BF6 is good, it doesn’t mean Battlefield 6 will go the same way.
What’s more is that you can play Battlefield: Hardline, Battlefield 1, and several other BF titles on Game Pass. I’m simply underlining that if you’re not keen to pay for Battlefield 6, or you’ve got time to kill in the meantime, BF6 might be free on Game Pass. You should probably fill up your medicinal canteen and chow down on a few MREs while you wait.
