Battlefield 6 Hits 500,000 Wishlists on Steam in One Weekend

Battlefield 6 has proven to be the gift that keeps on giving, despite being several weeks away from launch. The reveal trailer that dropped last week had fans hyped, and the social buzz has kept flowing, keeping Battlefield 6 trending on all popular platforms.

Gamers worldwide are refusing to skip a beat, and they’ve headed to storefronts everywhere to throw Battlefield 6 at the top of their wishlists. In a recent report published by Alinea Analytics, it was revealed that on Steam alone, Battlefield 6 found a spot on half a million wishlists in a single weekend.

Trust The Process

The last Battlefield title came out almost four years ago, and it almost decimated any faith in the franchise. I’m talking about Battlefield 2042, and while it recovered somewhat, it will forever be a mark against one of the most prestigious first-person shooter franchises in gaming.

Fans of the destructive military shooter have been starved of a ‘good Battlefield game’ for several years, but Battlefield 6 could be a turning point.

In a recent report published by Alinea Analytics, it seems that the numbers are proving a testament to that hope. It was stated that on Steam alone, 500,000 people wishlisted Battlefield 6 in the weekend that followed the launch of the game’s reveal trailer.

This news surfaced in a LinkedIn post published by Alinea Analytics CEO, Rickard Linder.

As I write this, the Battlefield 6 trailer is coasting over 7.6 million views on YouTube, and that’s just on the official channel. If you count reuploads and syndication, the trailer has probably hit tens of millions of views. Being a Battlefield fan, I can safely say that I am excited about the potential wrapped up in Battlefield 6.

On Thursday, a full multiplayer reveal will take place, with streams of creators having travelled to Los Angeles to take part in a mass live event, broadcasting gameplay on their channels.
