Excitement levels continue to rise for Battlefield 6, and we now have an exact date to count down to with the release date having emerged.
A Battlefield 6 Open Beta is expected to arrive in August, and the reveal trailer made a big impression. It’s been a big week for news, with a reveal of a playlist with class-specific weapons.
A release date is undoubtedly the biggest news so far, however, and we’ve got all the details on when Battlefield 6 lands across all platforms.
When is Battlefield 6 Coming Out?
Battlefield 6 is due to release on October 10 on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
The release date has emerged through leaks, and while it is still to be confirmed, it’s widely expected that the leak is accurate and more details are on the horizon with a big reveal planned.
A trailer for Battlefield 6 is landing July 24, and Insider Gaming has exclusively reported a full reveal is set for July 31 in a “COD Next” style event.
With an October 10 release date, Battlefield 6 may well beat Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 to market. While the release date for the next Call of Duty title has not been announced, the standard window for releases in the franchise is toward the end of October or in early November.
It remains to be seen how the two titles stack up against each other, but excitement for Battlefield 6 has been driven by the four-year wait for a new game to follow Battlefield 2042, and it’s a great time for fans of the FPS genre.
How to Pre-Order Battlefield 6
Pre-orders for Battlefield 6 are yet to be made available, though we could hear news in the coming days as part of the reveal.
The big reveal on Thursday, July 24 would be the perfect time to announce pre-orders, which could be made available immediately, though EA could hold off until the Open Beta period.
Once Battlefield 6 pre-orders are live, digital editions will be available through the main stores on your platform, including Steam, the Microsoft Store, and the PlayStation Store.
Physical editions of the game will be available through standard retailers, which in the US is expected to include the likes of Amazon, Gamestop, Target, and Best Buy.
The game may well be cheaper on PC, according to the leaks, with a €70 price point compared to €80 on console. This is yet to be confirmed, nor do we know the exact price point in the US.
