Resident Evil 2: Dead Shot is the arcade version of Resident Evil 2, which is now available as an early playable version at Namco Funscape in the UK.
Resident Evil 2 was remade in 2019, rebuilt from the ground up to provide a deeper narrative experience with realistic visuals, immersive audio, new camera options, modernised controls, and more. Now, the game has been remade a second time, catering to the arcade audience.
Resident Evil 2 Arcade Version Has Split the Game’s Narrative into 5 Episodes
As reported by IGN, Resident Evil 2: Deadshot is the lightgun arcade version of the popular title, and it has been created through a partnership between Bandai Namco and Capcom. The game has been split into five episodes, with the first being the prologue and the second episode being titled “Hunted”. The first two episodes are already unlocked in the early version, and once you launch the game, a “zombified hand” pulls the players and their friend into the screen.
The start of the Resident Evil 2 arcade game introduces Leon Kennedy and Claire Redfield to the players as they mow down a horde of zombie cops and dogs. The duo evacuate to the police department, just to be ambushed by another horde of zombie cops. It has been stated that the visuals of this arcade iteration appear to be on par with those of the 2019 remake of Resident Evil 2. This version has been placed at Namco Funscape for testing, and it is unknown for how long it will remain.
