With Call of Duty Champs in the rear view mirror, the Esports World Cup is the final Black Ops 6 event of the year. Here is everything you need to know about the event, including the schedule, teams, groups, and prize pool.
The 2025 Esports World Cup comprises 16 teams, divided into four groups of four. The top two teams from each group qualify for the single elimination playoffs. During the group stage and playoffs, all matches are a best-of-five series. However, in the Grand Final, it is a best-of-seven series.
All 12 CDL organizations were initially planned to compete in the tournament, but the Carolina Royal Ravens were disqualified due to a roster violation. After both of their contracts were due to expire, Gwinn left Carolina for Cloud 9, and TJHaLy joined Vegas.
Tournament rules reportedly only allowed teams to make one roster change, so The Royal Ravens were removed from the event, despite it being outside the organization’s control. So, instead of four Challengers teams, there will be five at the event. Without further ado, here’s everything you need to know about the EWC.
