Marvel Rivals July 17 Update Patch Notes—Summer Special Event & Swimsuits

Before jumping into the Marvel Rivals Summer Special Event, here is everything you need to know about the July 17 update.

Marvel Rivals Season 3 officially started on July 11. The update rebalanced the current meta with a long list of buffs and nerfs, introduced two new Team-Up abilities, added a new Battle Pass, two Domination Maps, and Phoenix joined the roster.

NetEase also revealed a roadmap outlining what fans can expect next, including Season 3.5, which is set to start on August 8. However, before looking too far ahead, the Summer Party event starts soon. Let’s jump right into everything coming in the update.

The Marvel Rivals Summer Special is themed after the Swimsuit Specials from Marvel Comics, which featured heroes and villains in summer attire. NetEase has already revealed a few skins and unveiled more in the most recent trailer for the event.

In the store, costumes for Psylocke and Loki will be available once the update goes live. In addition, there are also Ultimate Ability VFX cosmetics for Psylocke and Luna Snow to pair with their new outfits.

The update also makes a few quality-of-life changes and bug fixes.

Monster Hulk’s Smash Mishaps: We’ve put a stop to a gamma-powered glitch where Monster Hulk’s Ultimate Ability could display incorrectly if the unlucky target happened to be on a portal during the grab animation. 2. Magneto’s Magnetized Mix-ups: Fixed a bug where Magneto could still sometimes suffer negative effects when blocking Cloak’s Terror Cape with Metallic Curtain. Now, nothing will get through his ironclad defenses.
