Chapter 6, Season 4 in Fortnite is right around the corner, and while details are scarce for now, expect things to ramp up over the coming weeks.
With Epic Games employees returning from their annual summer break, Fortnite will now return to its regular content cycle and updates, with Fantastic Four skins on the horizon, and there’s not too long to go until Chapter 6, Season 4 begins.

When Does the Next Fortnite Season Start?

Fortnite Chapter 6, Season 4 is expected to begin on Friday, August 8, as shown by the current Battle Pass countdown.
An official date is yet to be confirmed, however, and some prominent leakers like ShiinaBR have stated the next season kicks off a day earlier on August 7.
Due to the Star Wars Galactic Battle mini-season, the names of the season have become slightly confusing and with the Star Wars collab officially being referred to as ‘Mini Season 1,’ rather than taking the next full season spot. This means that, despite having four separate seasonal updates so far this year, the next season will be Chapter 6, Season 4.
The table below shows the expected start times for Chapter 6, Season 4, based on previous seasons.
| Timezone | Release Time |
|---|---|
| Pacific Time (PT) | 1 am |
| Central Time (CT) | 3 am |
| Eastern Time (ET) | 4 am |
| British Summer Time (BST) | 9 am |
| Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST) | 6 pm |
What to Expect in Fortnite Chapter 6, Season 4
Full details of Fortnite Chapter 6, Season 4 are yet to be revealed, but it’s been claimed it will have an alien invasion theme. There are some guarantees, though, like a new Battle Pass, new weapons, and POIs on the map.
In June, ShiinaBR stated previously reported leaks were “more trustworthy,” adding that Chapter 6, Season 4 had an alien invasion theme alongside an end-of-chapter live event.
Any aliens wouldn’t be the first to invade Fortnite, and the suggestion of an end-of-chapter live event hints that the community may have to rally together to defend the island, similarly to the huge battle to destroy the Death Star in the Star Wars mini-season earlier this year.
Beyond that, a second mini-season is due to follow at the end of Chapter 6, Season 4, reportedly themed around The Simpsons with a Springfield map, before Chapter 7 begins in December to kick off the next year of Fortnite seasons and collabs.
