We did wonder if the Delta Force bubble would burst at some point in 2025. Seven months on since launch, and the FPS title has just beaten its all-time Steam peak player count record, putting it in good standing for its console launch.
Delta Force seems to tick all the right boxes: A popular online FPS multiplayer title, it’s free, it adds new content that’s also free, and it works. The only thing missing from the equation has been a console presence, but this is ending soon with the Delta Force console release date in sight. Until then, it’s smashing Steam records and cementing itself as a great shooter.
Delta Force Peak Steam Player Count Beaten

Delta Force has a new Steam record player count—according to SteamDB—of 177,862.
This means July 6 is the new record for Delta Force to beat. It might not have long to do so, as once the game comes out on PS5 and Xbox, it’s likely many of its players will start playing it on console and enjoy crossplay. Still, this is an impressive achievement for a new shooter in a competitive market.
At the time of writing, Call of Duty, for example, had a peak of 92,183 players in the last 30 days. Delta Force nearly doubles this, and CoD’s page accounts for several games.
Having a free campaign, PvP, and extraction-shooter elements is proving to be the complete package for many.
