Neil Druckmann heads up Naughty Dog and oversees the bulk of the company’s creative output. Still a gamer at heart, Druckmann recently shared on social media that he had “rolled the credits” on Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, and has made a big statement on the RPG.
There’s nothing to say about Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 that hasn’t been said already. The game has been a revelation in 2025 and garnered praise the world over. But it’s another feather in the cap for Sandfall Interactive as Naughty Dog‘s Neil Druckmann has had his say on the game.
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 Receives Big Praise From Neil Druckmann
Druckmann is a busy man. He recently told everyone he was stepping away from The Last of Us Season 3 to focus on Naughty Dog’s next two projects.
He still makes time to play games, of course. He posted to his Instagram on July 6 with a screenshot of Clair Obscur’s credits. He had this to say about the game: “Rolled credits on Claire Obscur: Expedition 33. I’m in awe. One of the most moving, creative stories I played in a long time.“
Coming from someone renowned for storytelling, this is quite the sentiment.
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 still stands as the highest-rated game of 2025. It’s sure to be in every Game of the Year conversation at the end of the year, and it has support from one of the industry’s biggest names.
