Peak Players Want Cannibalism Added to Game, Its Developer Responds

Peak is all the rage on Steam right now. The popular indie game sees thousands of people scaling mountains and falling off them daily. With players desperate for new content, Peak’s developer has had to address calls for cannibalism to be included.

It’s not often you have to write the word ‘cannibal’ so many times in a story. Alas, that’s the word of the day where Peak is concerned as players apparently want to each other. With a potential roadmap in doubt, tiny updates aren’t beyond the realms of possibility, but you probably shouldn’t get your hopes up for…cannibalism.

Cannibalism to be Added to Peak?

Peak co-developer Aggro Crab took to X on July 2 and had to make a stern and clear announcement to the Peak community: “guys we can’t add cannibalism to PEAK.

Just like that, the dreams of many are dashed, and the flesh of your friends will remain untainted for now.

The replies were flooded with distraught responses: “PLEASE,” said Chrissy, whereas savannahXYZ added: “literally why not I just want a bite.”

Interestingly, underneath Aggro Crab’s own post, they do post a follow-up “hmm” message, suggesting perhaps all is not lost. For now, you’ll have to eat non-humans in your bid to survive.

Was this story wild? Will this game ever Peak? Let us know through the Insider Gaming forum.
