Complete Peak 1.5.a Update Patch Notes in June 24 Update—Prevents Random Players Joining Lobby

Peak is the new sensation taking over the gaming community. Its premise is simple, but as with all indie games early on, it has some bugs that need squishing. The Peak 1.5.a update addresses a few key issues, and there are easy-to-read patch notes to check out.

Step aside, REPO and Schedule 1, the new beast is in town. Peak has you climbing different mountains and working together to survive—to comical effect. Developer Landcrab has a winner with this, and it’s already supporting the breakout hit with new updates.

The biggest change in the Peak 1.5.a update is to lobbies and random players joining your game. There are new settings in place to prevent randoms from joining your game. Also, one of the game’s many achievements has been fixed as it wasn’t unlocking for many users.

Concerning lobbies, Landcrab does remind you: “Through default Steam settings, players can join your game by searching your Steam username and joining if you do not have the correct privacy settings enabled. For extra protection on how to do this: Go to “View My Profile” > Edit Profile > Privacy Settings > Change to Friends Only (or Private).”

All Peak Hotfix 1 June 23 Update Patch Notes

  • Lobby joining improvements.
  • Improved running/idle animations on sloped surfaces.
  • Fixed issue causing Bookworm achievement to be unobtainable.
  • Items that clear all statuses will no longer clear the Weight status.
  • Cursed Skull now gives all your friends some bonus stamina, alongside its… other effects.

Thanks to the Peak Steam news page for the full patch notes.
