Dragon Ball Gekishin Squadra Confirms PS5, PS4 and Switch Release

Dragon Ball Gekishin Squadra has added new platforms to the mix, including PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch versions. A network test has been organised for all available platforms between June 6 and June 16.

Dragon Ball MOBA Hosting a Network Test This Month

The free-to-play Dragon Ball MOBA title, initially named Project Multi, has now changed to Gekishin Squadra. The upcoming title will be released for iOS, Android, PS5, PS4, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam. The game’s PlayStation Store and Steam pages are already live, but the iOS, Android, and Switch store pages will be released later. Interested players can participate in a network test next week, which will be available as “DRAGON BALL GEKISHIN SQUADRA Exhibition Match” on specific platforms. Players should expect more characters than in the beta test.

New Details About Dragon Ball Gekishin Squadra

In Dragon Ball Gekishin Squadra, players get to choose their favourite characters and participate in intense 4v4 matches. The player’s level grows as they defeat more enemies, unlocking new transformations, game-changing abilities, attacks, and more. The heroes have been divided across three roles: Damage, Tank, and Technical. Moreover, there are many customisations players can look forward to, including skins, entrance animations, and special finisher animations.

The developers also spoke about the feedback they received in the previous regional beta test and the changes they are implementing. Players were happy about the graphics and controls, but not fond of the unfair advantage you get by defeating the Great Ape and the rounds feeling bland after some time. To remedy this issue, the developers have removed the Great Ape from the Network test while they test alternate ways to improve the character.

Furthermore, new systems have been added to Dragon Ball Gekishin Squadra, Divine Draw and Gekishin Burst. Through Divine Draw, two special rules will be chosen at the start of the match at random, and they will influence the entire game. The rules may vary from enemies exploding after being defeated, to new NPCs being added and more. The developers hope this will add more variety to the gameplay experience. The next system, Gekishin Burst, is a special action specifically for defeating the Gods of Destruction, adding more strategy to the mix.

Lastly, players should know that Dragon Ball Gekishin Squadra will feature cross-platform and cross-save support, allowing players to transition between devices seamlessly.

In other news, Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 has already received Daima’s Super Saiyan 4 Goku. Also, Sparking Zero was recently rated for the Switch 2 in Saudi Arabia.
