There’s nothing better than free rewards in Marvel Rivals, and Season 2.5 has a bunch to claim, including the exclusive Golden Ultron costume.
Ultron’s arrival as a playable character in Marvel Rivals, after spending the first half of Season 2 as the main villain, is the highlight of the Season 2.5 patch, though there is plenty more to come, including a new auto-battler game mode.
Those wanting to add exclusive skins to their collection can do exactly that by earning the Golden Ultron skin, which is only available for a limited time.
How to Get the Free Golden Ultron Skin
The Golden Ultron skin is earned by reaching a minimum rank of Gold 3 in Marvel Rivals’ competitive mode in Season 2.5, though the reward won’t be dished out until the end of Season 2.5.
If you already reached higher ranks during the first half of Season 2 and start Season 2.5 in the Gold division, a total of 10 matches must be completed to be eligible for the reward.
Season 2.5 in Marvel Rivals is expected to end on July 11, based on the end date of the Season 2 Battle Pass, so there’s around six weeks to claim the Golden Ultron skin.
In future seasons, starting with Season 3, the period to earn exclusive ranked rewards will be even shorter as seasons will be reduced to two months from three. Unless we’re told otherwise, expect the requirements for ranked rewards to remain the same.
All Marvel Rivals Seasonal Ranked Rewards so Far
Ranked rewards are dished out at the end of every half-season in Marvel Rivals, though some are available throughout both halves of the season—which means the Emma Frost Golden Diamond skin is available until Season 3 begins.
The free costume rewards began in Season 0 with Moon Knight and, since then, have focused on the new characters introduced.
After the distribution period has ended, there is no way to earn any of the ranked rewards, and they’re likely to remain exclusive, never to return.
