Fortnite’s big Star Wars-themed season is in full swing, and one of the most desired skins of the season has finally been released: Darth Jar Jar.
Teased by Epic Games at the start of the season, many were disappointed not to see Darth Jar Jar included in the Battle Pass, but after weeks of waiting, the skin is finally available.
It’s not a quick-and-easy grab, however, as the right to own the Darth Jar Jar skin must be earned. We’re here to tell you how.
How to Get The Darth Jar Jar Skin in Fortnite

The Darth Jar Jar skin in Fortnite is only available in the Item Shop, but unlike other skins and cosmetics, it is not immediately available for purchase and, instead, you must unlock the privilege.
Alongside several other Darth Jar Jar-themed cosmetics, a significant amount of XP is required before you can purchase the items. In total, 1.28m XP is required to unlock the final reward, the Darth Jar Jar skin.
The table below contains a full list of cosmetics to unlock, the required XP, and their VBucks cost.
| Item | Required XP | Cost |
|---|---|---|
| Terror of Naboo Wrap | 320k | 500 |
| Sith’s Electropole Pick Axe | 640k | 800 |
| Crimson Booma Back Bling | 960k | 400 |
| Darth Jar Jar Skin | 1.28m | 1500 |
There’s still plenty of time to grind to get the required XP, as the Darth Jar Jar skin is available in the Item Shop until June 6, although it’s not known when the skin will return in future and what the procedure will be to unlock it.
The good news is that there are other freebies to grind towards this season, including the Vanguard Zadie skin and General Grievous in the Battle Pass bonus levels.
How to get Fortnite XP fast
Every game played in Fortnite provides XP, but if you’re looking to unlock Darth Jar Jar and complete the Battle Pass as quickly as possible, there are plenty of ways to boost your earnings.
In Battle Royale modes, focus on completing Weekly and Story Quests for additional XP, and make sure to visit all the NPCs and new named locations this season for another XP boost.
In LEGO Fortnite, around 30k XP is earned every 30 minutes, while modes like Fortnite Festival have their own selection of Weekly Quests to complete—many of which don’t take much effort at all.
