Ubisoft has announced in its latest earnings call that Prince of Persia: Sands of Time Remake will release by April 2026.
The news was subtly announced in its earnings presentation today, where the company said that its next new bookings would be “stable” but that it would be delaying its flagship titles to focus on quality.
However, in its outlook for its 2025-2026 financial year (April 1st 2025 – March 31st 2026), the company mentioned some of the titles that it intends to release.
The following games were announced to be released; Anno 117: Pax Romana™, Prince of Persia™: The Sands of Time remake, Rainbow Six® Mobile and The Division® Resurgence. The company also said that “other titles” will be announced at a later stage.
Before the news, we know that Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time remake was given a fairly vague “2026” release date, but with today’s announcement, it pins down a January – March 2026 release date.
In early 2024, Insider Gaming reported that you must forget everything you know about Prince of Persia: Sands of Time remake because the game has been completely rebuilt from the ground up.
Footage and presentations sent to Insider Gaming under the condition they do not go public shows that the remake will take a more “authentic” approach to the games setting. The game in direction is understood to see Yuri Lowenthal not reprising his role and will be replaced by a Persian actor.
Everything has been from the ground up, including a complete graphical overhaul, new animations and mechanics for combat and parkour, and much more.
