Palworld is launching another major update for the second summer in a row, this time bringing the world of Terraria into the title in a huge crossover.
Palworld made waves after launching in early 2024, though changes have been made amid an ongoing legal battle with Pokémon, and a huge drop of content is coming this summer.
Titled Palworld: Tides of Terraria, the big draw is the collaboration with another big title, Terraria, and is an update that “can be enjoyed by fans of Palworld and Terraria”.
The announcement also teased the ability to catch, train, fight, and put monsters from the world of Terraria to work, just like Pals, but a question mark at the end of the tease suggests it may not be as straightforward as it seems.
What’s Coming in Palworld: Tides of Terraria?

Though it’s the Terraria collab that grabs the attention, dedicated Palworld fans are also being treated to more content including new Pals to capture and collect.
PocketPair says further details will be revealed over Palworld’s social media channels in the next few weeks, which may lead to a big reveal at Summer Game Fest like we saw last year with the Sakurajima update.
Though details are scarce, teasers images show a new jellyfish-style Pal and an ice seal, alongside a character fishing, while another image suggests we will see new variants of Pengullet, seemingly an electric type, and Croajiro—the latter switching the color of the Pal from green to blue.
Palworld’s big update comes after ceding ground in the legal battle with Pokémon, with the most recent update resulting in removing the ability to use Pals as Gliders.
