How to Use Apple Pay on The PlayStation Store

In addition to credit and debit cards, PayPal, Cash App, and Venmo, PlayStation 5 users can now use Apple Pay to purchase a game or add-on from the PlayStation Store.

Sony finally added Apple Pay support on PlayStation 5. This feature has been available on the PlayStation App on iOS and Android devices and the browser version of the store, but this is the first time players can use Apple Pay directly on consoles.

If using Apple Pay is your preferred payment method, let’s jump right into what you need to know.

Here is a step-by-step guide on how to use Apple Pay on PlayStation.

  1. Go to the PlayStation Store online or on a PlayStation 5 console.
  2. Select which games and add-ons you want and Add to Cart.
  3. From the Cart, press the three dots next to Confirm Purchase and Change Payment Method.
  4. Select Apple Pay, and finalize the sale by pressing Confirm Purchase.

To confirm that you are using Apple Pay, look below the total in the cart, and it will tell you what the purchase is being charged to.

What is Apple Pay?

Apple Pay allows users to store credit and debit information in their Wallet App, and then make payments using an iPhone, Apple Watch, iPad, Mac, or Vision Pro.

Using Apple Pay is an excellent way to pay for items without risking losing your wallet. You can also use Apple Pay to send and receive money with Apple Cash in Messages or the Wallet App.

How to Set Up & Use Apple Pay

Here is everything you need to know about setting up an Apple Pay account on a supported device.

  1. In the Wallet App, tap the Add Button, which is indicated by a grey circle with a black plus symbol in the middle.
  2. After selecting which card you want to use, select Continue.
  3. Tap or hold your card close to your iPhone to add it or manually enter your card details.
  4. Complete the final authentication steps to finalize the process.

After setting up Apple Pay, you must confirm any payment made on the PlayStation Store on that device.
