In 2019, Fallen Tree Games released the Fugitive, a top-down sandbox action game that follows the story of Will Riley and his quest for revenge after being wrongly convicted of killing his father. Set in the deep south of the 1980s, players live the life of a felon and avoid the police.
The development studio’s latest project, The Precinct, flips the perspective and follows a police officer. Let’s jump right into everything players need to know.
The Precinct Release Date
The Precinct officially releases worldwide on May 13 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
In The Precinct, you step into the shoes of Officer Nick Cordell Jr., a rookie cop. Fallen Tree Games explained, “The Precinct combines police sim with action sandbox spectacle. Patrol the streets and respond to callouts to fight criminals, petty and powerful.”
The development team described the game as a love letter to classic cop movies, as you solve the mystery of your father’s murder in the line of duty.
Players can expect a mix of bank heists, street racing, and drug deals, as they will be tasked with car and helicopter chases and pursuits on foot. In addition, there will be a fair share of shootouts.
The Precinct Start Times
The Precinct releases at 2 AM PDT on PlayStation and Xbox and 8 AM PDT on PC on May 13—with other regions also following soon after.
