Apex Legends Season 25 introduces a new Legend and will undoubtedly bring other significant changes. Here is everything we know about the update, including the expected release date and start time.
Respawn Entertainment has ambitious plans for Apex Legends. An earnings call in February revealed that the dev team is working on a massive update that will be substantial enough to be considered a sequel to the original game. And other studios are taking notice, as Ubisoft is developing a new battle royale game inspired by Apex Legends.
But before looking too far ahead, let’s jump right into what fans can expect from Season 25, Prodigy.
Apex Legends Season 25 Release Date

Apex Legends Season 25 is expected to start on Tuesday, May 6, based on the Season Pass end date and usual seasonal timing.
Season 23, for example, began on November 5 and concluded on February 10. Seasons typically last around three months, so this timeline aligns with expectations.
Apex Legends Season 25 Possible Start Time
We expect Apex Legends Season 25 to start around 10 AM PT, with other regions also following soon after.
This is based on the start time for previous seasons, but it is subject to change due to server maintenance or any other unexpected circumstances.

Sparrow Revealed as New Legend
On April 28, Respawn Entertainment shared a reveal trailer for the new Legend, who is rumored to be named Sparrow.
Season 25 is titled Prodigy, and as the title suggests, Respawn Entertainment explained, “A young, new prodigy steps into the bullseye of the Apex Games. Will he crack under the pressure? Or find his chance to target greatness.”
The trailer didn’t feature actual gameplay, but did reveal a few of his abilities. The archer can fire an arrow that shows an enemy’s location, an arrow that can electrocute all three enemies, or an arrow that has a grenade strapped to it that blows up.
In addition, the Legend also has a cat sidekick that is shown sitting on his shoulder, but it’s unclear if the cat will be included in-game.
