Ubisoft Will Begin Testing The Crew 2 Offline Mode Next Week

Ubisoft Ivory Tower have announced that it will be testing its Offline Mode for The Crew 2 next week, starting April 30th.

The offline mode was first announced in September following fan concerns that the original Crew game would be taken offline. Septembers announcement was said to ensure that both The Crew 2 and Motorfest had “long term success” and that news would be announced in the coming months.

It’s offline mode, which starts April 30th will be for a select number of players to test the feature on PC.

Yesterday’s update for The Crew 2 was uploaded to the official Ubisoft YouTube channel, where you can wat h the full announcement below:

Predictably, the announcement has gone down well with The Crew 2 players, but fans are now wanting the “feature” to be implemented across other Ubisoft titles, including Ghost Recon Breakpoint.

At the time of writing, Ubisoft is yet to comment on whether or not it would add an offline mode to more of its titles. As for when The Crew: Motorfest’s offline mode will be coming is unclear, but Ubisoft has said that it’s still planned to release.

What do you think of “offline modes” now becoming a feature in games rather than a necessity? Let us know down below, and join the discussion in the official Insider Gaming forums.
