Many might not remember Battlefield Heroes. It was a cartoon-looking, stripped-back version of Battlefield, and while Heroes divided opinions, Heroes of Valor is to give you what EA and DICE tried to.
Fancy Cat Interactive is looking to deliver a cartoony Battlefield experience. BattleBit Remastered gave it a go of sorts, but its efforts tailed off. Now, Heroes of Valor is looking to provide a colorful alternative to the murkier, grittier military shooters on the market.
It bears a striking resemblance to 2009’s Battlefield Heroes, and if the studio can avoid some of EA’s pay-to-win mistakes of the past, it may be able to level the battlefield.
Battlefield Heroes Get Spiritual Successor in Heroes of Valor

Heroes of Valor is described as “Stylized WWII chaos” on its official Steam page. It features everything a typical Battlefield fan would know and love: A plethora of vehicles, different Classes, and large-scale warfare.
It’s described as a game “Made by 2 Belgian brothers,” and their efforts look impressive for only two people.
You can sign up for a special Heroes of Valor playtest via the Steam page, and you should receive an invite at some point welcoming you to try the shooter out for yourself.
Its first port of call after testing is straight to Early Access, and we’re sure there will be more information on this at a later date.
With EA wrapped up in Battlefield Labs testing en route to the eventual release of Battlefield 6, Heroes of Valor could be a fun alternative if you fancy something different.
