4. Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown
Release Date: January 18, 2024
Platforms: Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S
After a decade-long dry spell of Prince of Persia games, Ubisoft is making good on its promise of revitalizing the franchise with The Lost Crown.
Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown serves as a standalone entry in which players will take control of a new protagonist Sargon, and must side-scroll their way across the empire to rescue the titular Prince. With better action, bigger set pieces, and an epic 2.5D layout, Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown is definitely shaping up to be one of the biggest game releases of January 2024.
3. The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered
Release Date: January 19, 2024

While it isn’t even remotely close enough to compensation for the canceled The Last of Us Online game, The Last of Us Part 2 is getting a remastered version PS5 owners will surely love.
The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered will feature new game modes and levels, director’s commentary, guitar free play, and lots more. Everything from better textures and visuals to improvements in gameplay, you name it. Maybe not what the fans wanted, but since Naughty Dog’s next title is likely still years away, this might cheer up some of those heartbroken over The Last of Us Online.

1. Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth
Release Date: January 26, 2024
Platforms: PS4, PS5, PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S
Another big game release happening in January 2024 is Yakuza 8. Better known by its rebranded name, Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth, is the continuation of Ichiban and Kiryu’s story.
Picking up directly after the events of Yakuza 7 (Yakuza: Like a Dragon), players will embody Ichiban on another emotional journey made by what will likely be a heartfelt send-off to the iconic Dragon of Dojima.
The JRPG system from the previous entry will also make a return in Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth, but with more content as you’d expect.
For Yakuza series fans who’ve been in it since Yakuza 1 was released in 2005, Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth will be the most sentimental newcomer in the franchise yet, and by the looks of things, it will leave many teary-eyed.
