5 Best Games Like Genshin Impact, Ranked

Genshin Impact is like a beautiful anime, with the only difference here being that you play as the main character. Explore the vast, colorful landscapes of Teyvat, fight with cool elemental powers, and build a team of lovable characters – Kazuha and Navia being personal favorites.

We can depend on developer miHoYo to add new stuff to Genshin Impact on the regular, so there’s always something new to discover. What makes this deal all the more appealing is the fact that Genshin is free to play. You can play it without having to pay a dime, although spending a few bucks to get a fancy character like Raiden sure is tempting.

Whether you’re into adventures or just hanging out in a pretty world, Genshin Impact has loads to offer. The sheer volume of content and this level of quality is a rare combo to find these days so let’s look at some of the best games like Genshin Impact.

Best Games Like Genshin Impact, Ranked

Today, we’ll be hand-picking the absolute finest experiences like Genshin Impact. Since subjectivity is a factor here, leave a comment and let us know which entries you would rank differently.

5. The Legend of Zelda: Tears of The Kingdom

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of The Kingdom

Genshin Impact’s vibrant anime-esque art style has always been eye candy. Imagine an art style with the same allure mixed with an epic story and puzzles you’d expect from the OG Zelda games. That would be a good description for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of The Kingdom and more than enough reason for it to be among the top games like Genshin Impact you need to check out.

Tears of The Kingdom is Link’s biggest adventure yet, and just like Genshin’s Teyvat, Hyrule is packed to the brim with fun stuff to do. You can jump from one floating island to the next, climb mountains, battle monsters, glide across vast lands, fuse hundreds of different weapons with each other, craft virtually anything you can imagine, and lots more. Tear of the Kingdom is simply the full package for Genshin Impact players looking for a nice change of pace but with the same stellar graphics and even better gameplay.

4. Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles

Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles

Slicing down demons with fiery swords in a flashy anime style is the gist of Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles. It’s got stunning visuals and exciting battles, two traits only a game like Genshin Impact would have.

In Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles, you slash and dash through hordes of demons, unleashing many special moves such as Tanjior’s fiery Water Wheel and Zenitsu’s lightning-fast Thunderclap Flash. But best of all, Hinokami Chronicles has a story mode too and it follows the events of the anime. If you haven’t watched the Demon Slayer anime in some time and are a big Genshin Impact superfan, then Hinokami Chronicles should be right up your alley.

3. Palworld

Palworld, one of the best games like Genshin Impact

Pokemon mixed with Minecraft and a dash of Genshin Impact is Palworld in a nutshell. Similar to Genshin Impact and Pokemon, in Palworld you can collect different beasts called Pals. You can also make some, shall we say, unconventional choices with them such as making them your permanent employees and fight for you so that you can expand your empire.

You can battle alongside your Pals, against them, even buddy up with them and ride into the wilderness, or cook them up if the need arises – things got dark real fast. Palworld is a game made with Genshin Impact and Pokemon addicts in mind, and it’s ultimately an uncanny adventure you shouldn’t miss.

2. Tales of Arise

Tales of Arise

Tales of Arise has a narrative reminiscent of Genshin Impact. Both deal with fighting against oppression. In Genshin, you are helping people against a dark military, the Fatui, whereas in Tales of Arise, it’s all about overthrowing the Lord of Water’s tyrannic rule. That’s not all since Tales of Arise also follows in Genshin’s footsteps of nailing the anime aesthetic.

In Arise, you follow a pair of mismatched heroes. One Dahnan rebel, Alphen, and a Renan noble, Shionne. Both hail from two opposing sides of an ongoing conflict and have their own fighting styles. You meet innumerable characters along your journey, like a mage and an undercover agent, but players will be spending most of their time with Alphen and Renan, and in terms of personality, they are pretty close with the stars of Genshin Impact.

Tales of Arise also boasts a massive open-world of Dahna that rivals Genshin’s Teyvat. If exploration is your thing then Tales of Arise might be where your next big adventure.

1. Honkai: Star Rail

Honkai: Star Rail, one of the best games like Genshin Impact

Some Genshin impact fans may have overlooked Honkai: Star Rail which is unfortunate since they would feel right at home, both games share the same developer after all, miHoYo.

Imagine Genshin Impact, but instead of you embarking on adventures across a single giant continent, this time you’re blasted off into space on a journey beyond the stars. Honkai: Star Rail is a gacha game too, so you can collect plenty of in-game items, characters, and other goodies if you’re into that sort of thing.

There are a few differences between the two games as well. While the visuals are almost identical, Honkai: Star Rail is a lot more vivid, its gameplay is JRPG instead of hack-and-slash, and the story progresses in expansive areas rather than one seamless open-world.

Be that as it may, Honkai: Star Rail will make you reminiscent of Genshin Impact at every turn, and for fans of miHoYo’s signature style, we couldn’t recommend diving in sooner.
