5 Best Games Like CS:GO

Counter-Strike 2 has just been released, and CS:GO fanatics have been exploring the new game and its mechanics. Counter-Strike has been a game for quite a few years now, and some players are looking for games that are just like the popular first-person shooter.

Here are the best five games like CS:GO (or Counter-Strike 2).

Games that are similar to CS:GO (or Counter-Strike 2)

While many titles have a similar game mode to Counter-Strike (defuse the bomb), very few have the same style of game mechanics that CS:GO contains. Regardless, there are some awesome games out there that will give you a similar feel to CS:GO.

5. Rogue Company

Rogue Company, a free-to-play game on Epic Games, is a PvP third-person shooting game that has quite a few different game modes for people to explore. From team deathmatch to defusing the bomb, Rogue Company gives off a similar vibe to CS:GO with its team-based competition.

The game first released in 2020, and has a pretty decently large player count. The game has had collaborations with creators like DrDisrespect and more, making it a fun and popular alternative to Counter-Strike.

4. Apex Legends

Apex Legends, a popular Battle Royale, is the perfect alternative for players who love CS:GO… well, sort of. The actual Battle Royale mode carries few similarities with Counter-Strike, but the Apex Arena mode speaks differently. Not only is it a 3v3 mode, but it also has an economy where players can buy different weapons, just like CS:GO.

Apex Legend’s Apex Arena mode is perfect for Counter-Strike fans.

3. Call of Duty

Everyone has heard of Call of Duty. It is easily one of the largest franchises in the world. Its multiplayer mode has a stacked roster of different games that players can compete in. One of these game modes is Search and Destroy, which is where teams of up to six players compete against each other, trying to defuse or set off a bomb.

Call of Duty’s Search and Destroy mode is a great way for CS:GO fans to explore a new but similar game.

2. Rainbow Six Siege

Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege is easily one of the best games when it comes to drawing similarities to CS:GO. The game is a 5v5 first-person shooter, where each operator has different technology that makes them stand out. Game modes consist of defusing the bomb, freeing the hostage and more.

Rainbow Six Siege also has a decent competitive scene, which provides a similar style of gameplay to Counter-Strike.

1. Valorant

Any surprise that Valorant made number one on our list of the best five games like CS:GO? Not only is Valorant a 5v5 game, but it also has incredibly similar aiming mechanics to Counter-Strike. In addition, the game also has an economy, making players start out with pistols, earning and buying different weapons throughout the match.

The only difference between Valorant and CS:GO is the unique abilities each character has in Valorant. Think CS:GO mixed with Overwatch… then you have Valorant.
