Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom Is The Highest-Rated Game On OpenCritic Ever

The review embargo for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom lifted on Thursday, and to say it’s been positive would be an understatement. According to review aggregator OpenCritic, the game has become the highest-rated game ever on its website.

“The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is currently the #1 highest-rated game of all time on OpenCritic,” the company posted on Twitter.

As of writing, Tears of the Kingdom sits with a 97 top critic average and a 100% critic recommended score. The game currently sits just above Super Mario Odyssey, which has a 96.811 rating average.

Per OpenCritic, Tears of the Kingdom sits just above at 97.223, specifically. The last Zelda game, Breath of the Wild, is third all-time at 95.905.
