It has been revealed during the Ubisoft Forward showcase that XDefiant, the so-called ‘COD Killer’, will be getting an open beta across all platforms from June 21st to June 23rd. That’s ahead of the full release that’ll land ‘in the summer’.
With Call of Duty struggling more and more to retain a positive, satisfied audience, games like XDefiant are prepared to fill a rather sore gap in the industry. From what we’ve seen so far, XDefiant has that fast pacing, fluid movement, and exhilarating gunplay that Call of Duty fans have been desperately searching for.
There was a broad roadmap laid out for Year One of XDefiant, too. It was revealed that when the game launches, we’ll have fourteen maps, five factions, five game modes, and twenty-four weapons – it’s quite the line-up.
