A new list of games has been revealed for XBOX Game Pass August Wave 2, and the highlight is Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy.
XBOX Game Pass is a subscription service for console, cloud, and PC players that provides a set of games each month in two waves, across different tiers of the service. The first wave of August 2026 featured 10 new additions, and the second wave of the month brings 9 more.
XBOX Game Pass August Wave 2 Features 9 More Titles
The XBOX Wire has announced Wave 2 of the Game Pass titles for August, with the final game from Wave 1 being released today. This new wave features a total of 9 games, including three Day One releases. The standout title is “Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy,” which serves as the prequel to the award-winning series and follows Sophia on her journey to Minotaur’s Island. Below is the complete list of Game Pass games for August along with their release dates:
- Vapor World: Over the Mind (Game Preview) (Cloud, Console, and PC) – August 19: Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass (Day One)
- BlazBlue Entropy Effect X (Cloud, XBOX Series X|S, and PC) – August 19: Now with Game Pass Premium; joining Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass
- Relooted (Cloud, XBOX Series X|S, and PC) – August 19: Now with Game Pass Premium; joining Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass
- Starsand Island (Cloud, XBOX Series X|S, and PC) – August 20: Now with Game Pass Premium; joining Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass
- Aerial_Knight’s DropShot (Cloud, XBOX Series X|S, Handheld, and PC) – August 25: Now with Game Pass Premium; joining Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass
- Blood Dungeon (Cloud, XBOX Series X|S, and PC) – August 25: Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass (Day One)
- Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy (Cloud, XBOX Series X|S, Handheld, and PC) – August 27: Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass (Day One)
- Young Suns (Cloud, Console, and PC) – August 31: Now with Game Pass Premium; joining Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass
- Shelldiver (Cloud, Console, and PC) – September 1: Game Pass Ultimate, Game Pass Premium, PC Game Pass
Games Leaving Game Pass in August
As always, whenever new games are added to Game Pass, some titles are removed from the library as well. This time around, only 5 games will be removed on August 31, but there are some big games in the list, including Another Crab’s Treasure and The Witcher 3 Remastered Edition.
