Wolves Claim PUBG Mobile Smash Rules victory at PMGO Season 2

Kicking off on October 20th, the Group Stage saw several nail-biting matches, with S2G Esports and Wolves Esports setting themselves up for a strong tournament after finishing first in their respective groups.

Whilst the top six teams from both Group A and Group B headed straight through to the Grand Finals, the 12 teams placed 7th-14th were sent on to the Survival Stage for their last chance to qualify. Here, 4K Esports, Alpha7, AlUla Club and Alter Ego Ares clawed their way out from the jaws of defeat to book their spot for the weekend. With this, the stage was set for 16 teams to drop into combat for an exhilarating Grand Finals.

Day 1 kicked off with an absolutely huge 19-elimination Chicken Dinner on Rondo from ULF Esports, propelling them to an early lead in the standings after Match 1.

However, after five further matches on Day 1, it would be Horaa Esports at the top of the leaderboard on 57 points after a consistent run which included a 15-elimination 2nd place in Match 3 and a Chicken Dinner in Match 4 on Erangel. Just behind were ULF Esports on 53 and Alter Ego Ares on 48, with AK Gold Esports (44) and The MongolZ (41) completing the top five. Wolves Esports, OLD NOT and 4K Esports were locked together on 39 points each, after Wolves Esports secured a 20-point Chicken Dinner on Erangel in Match 6.

Day 2 followed up with even more excitement, with OLD NOT claiming the first win of the day from Day 1 leaders Horaa Esports. It was truly all to play for from Match 8 onwards, as the next four matches saw 10 teams earn enough Match Points for a potential SMASH Rule win. Determined to make an impact, INFLUENCE RAGE clawed their way up the leaderboard with impressive back-to-back wins in Match 10 and Match 11, yet couldn’t hit the SMASH Rule threshold.

Ultimately, it was Wolves Esports that claimed an 8-elimination Chicken Dinner in Match 12 on Miramar to take the Champions title, the top prize of $60,000, and 150 PMGC Points.

For their impressive 23-elimination performance, ALA of 4K Esports was named Grand Finals MVP in their first-ever international tournament. AK Gold Esports’ Satar received the Best In-Game Leader (IGL) title, while SkY from Horaa Esports was named Eagle Eye, Alpha7’s Carrilho was named Grenade Master, and Zeta from Bigetron by Vitality took home the title of Field Medic.

With the excitement of the 2026 PMGO S2 now finally over, tensions are rising for the 2026 PUBG Mobile Global Championship (PMGC), just over a month away.

The 2026 PMGC is set to bring together the best-performing teams over the entirety of 2026, and will undoubtedly be an adrenaline-fueled finale in Turkiye.
