When is Fallout Season 3 Coming Out? Release Date Rumors, Explained

The live-action adaptation of Fallout is a stellar series that boasts immense production value and award-winning sequences that have, time and again, impressed fans of the age-old post-apocalyptic series. The show, which debuted in 2024, has received critical acclaim for authentic set pieces, a brilliant soundtrack, and some remarkable acting from the prolific cast members.

Since hitting the market in April 2024, Fallout has evolved immeasurably, and right now, everyone wants to know when the third season will come out. It’s a highly anticipated run because it’s edging into the realms of complete originality. Let’s take a look at what we know and determine when Fallout season three is going to be released.

Fallout Season 3: Everything We Know

Fallout’s third season promises to take viewers on a whirlwind trip through some original storytelling. It could be headed to Colorado, with the showrunners pursuing a territory almost entirely unexplored in the Fallout universe. It’s hugely exciting, and the potential is off the charts.

In the summer of 2026, the third season entered production at Amazon and Kilter Films, and in the months running up to filming starting, more cast members were introduced, including the instantly recognizable Aaron Paul.

But when might Fallout season three come out? Great question.

Based on previous timelines, it’s a safe bet that the third season of Fallout will be released in late 2027. This is a very important prediction, as the arrival of the third season could perfectly coincide with the thirtieth anniversary of Fallout, which lands in October 2027.

It would also gel with ‘Bombs Drop Day’, a celebratory day of sorts in the Fallout universe, which lands on October 23rd, when the bombs fell in the game world: October 23rd, 2077.

Who is in Fallout Season 3?

Fallout’s third season is even more star-studded than the previous two, thanks to some recent announcements.

Walton Goggins (Cooper ‘The Ghoul’ Howard), Ella Purnell (Lucy MacLean), and Aaron Moten (Maximus) all return as the series’ lead characters, supported by other cast regulars:

  • Moises Arias – Norm MacLean
  • Frances Turner – Barb Howard
  • Kyle MacLachlan – Hank MacLean
  • Annabel O’Hagan – Stephanie Harper
  • Johnny Pemberton – Thaddeus
  • Justin Theroux – Robert House
  • Macaulay Culkin – Lacerta Legate

But the more recent announcements include the likes of:

  • Emily Mortimer
  • Manny Jacinto
  • Thomasin McKenzie
  • Aaron Paul
