WARDOGS isn’t here yet, but it’s close. In just a few days, the world will get its hands on the early access launch of this highly anticipated first-person shooter, following a string of seriously successful tests hosted by BULKHEAD, a forward-thinking developer.
However, just because the game isn’t here yet doesn’t mean that the most excited users aren’t preparing for it to drop. In recent days, an esports league has popped up, and although it’s a community-backed effort, it’s indicative of the energy surrounding this all-new game.
WARDOGS League Europe is Preparing to Start
It was a few days ago that social media references to ‘WARDOGS League Europe’ started popping up in my feed. Being a fan of competitive gaming and first-person shooters, the sheer notion of this competitive circuit starting so early is exciting, but of course, the real test will come once the game has hit early access next week.
That’s when these competitions can kick off in earnest.
The description of the WARDOGS League Europe is explained on the site:
A season of three-way rounds between national WARDOGS communities, one continental table, and a champion who has to defend it.
The platform boasts 30+ teams, 500+ players, and 30+ nations, all eager for the action to commence. No competitions are listed at the moment, but that’s because the game isn’t here just yet.
But how does it all work?
Users interested in WDLEU can sign up via Discord, link an account on the site, and matchmake with other competitors. They can join a team (they have to, actually) based on their region, field challenges from other squads, or put out feelers for those looking for a fight.
Each team will need to float the 30 players needed to flesh out their side – that’s how large-scale WARDOGS is.
Right now, there are a few friendly matches scheduled for the week after the game launches in early access, which will give teams a short time to sharpen their skills before diving in.
