VR Games Showcase With ‘Major’ Reveals Announced For August 2024

In a new post on X, a VR Games Showcase was announced for August that will feature AAA Games and over eight VR studios and publishers.

The event will begin on August 15, 2024, at 9 am PT / 12pm ET, on a brand-new YouTube channel. It will feature titles for Meta Quest, PlayStation VR2, and PC VR.

The event trailer and its description on YouTube elaborated a bit more on the content itself. Fans can expect “massive new game announcements and first-looks from some of your favorite VR studios.”

There will also be “deep-dive gameplay demos,” as well as “some surprises you are not going to see coming.”

According to the event trailer, the following studios will make an appearance at the VR Games Showcase in August:

  • Flat2VR Studios
  • nDreams
  • Vertigo Games
  • Fast Travel Games
  • Schell Games
  • Combat Waffle Studios
  • Beyond Frames

In a follow-up tweet, the VR Games Showcase account also teased that fans should “stay tuned” to hear about more partners.

Batman: Arkham, coming in late 2024, could potentially get an update. Funcom might also show after announcing Metal: Hellsinger VR last March, but these titles are just speculation.

Today’s event trailer confirmed that IO Interactive and XR Games will offer an update on Hitman 3 VR: Reloaded. A trailer from last month revealed the game will be a Meta Quest 3 exclusive, with a release window for summer 2024. Pre-orders for Hitman 3 VR: Reloaded are available now.
