Is Visions of Mana Co-op? – Answered

In a brightly-colored world full of unique characters, with multiple main protagonists stealing the spotlight, one would assume cooperative play is a core feature. But there are some questions surrounding multiplayer capabilities in the latest title from Square Enix. Is Visions of Mana co-op? Here’s what you should know before jumping in!

Can You Play Visions of Mana Cooperatively?

While most people don’t dive into a JRPG expecting co-op play, it’s nice to have someone along for the ride. Unfortunately, Visions of Mana does not offer a co-op game mode—at least, not yet. The RPG’s producer has said previously that while the action RPG won’t launch with multiplayer of any kind, they’re not ruling out the possibility in the future.

Of course, that’s not a guarantee, either. We could end up never seeing multiplayer or co-op in Visions of Mana. Honestly, that feels more likely. The last few titles in the Mana series were single-player adventures, and many of us still enjoyed those wholeheartedly!

Secrets of Mana’s Co-op Holds Up Well

While Visions of Mana may never receive a co-op mode, other titles in the series do offer cooperative play. Most notably, Secret of Mana is available on Steam. The 1993 RPG launched on Steam in 2018 and brought with it the much-beloved co-op mode that kept so many playing long after the story finished!
