Valorant Mobile Surpasses 10m Daily Players Without Global Launch

Valorant Mobile is continuing to grow its player base in China, yet there is still no news on an international release.

Riot Games announced on Weibo that Valorant Mobile has now surpassed 10 million active, daily players.

The mobile version of the popular shooter was released exclusively in China last August.

And on its first day, the free-to-play game attracted 170k downloads and generated $1 million in revenue.

Valorant Mobile Finds Increasing Success

Since that successful release, Valorant Mobile has only grown in numbers.

There was a lot of excitement ahead of the game’s release, with more than 70 million players pre-registering their interest in the game before its release.

Valorant Mobile was named China’s biggest mobile game launch last year as the game generated $73.4m in 2025 alone after releasing on August 19.

Tencent also reported that Valorant and Valorant Mobile has been attracting a combined 50 million active users every month in China alone. This is with Valorant on PC attracting a peak of 2 million players in a day in China just six months ago.

No International Release

Despite the game’s large success, there have still not been any announcements from Riot Games on when the game will be released globally.

For now, Valorant Mobile is only playable in China, though some players have found workarounds using VPNs.

When the game initially released, fans were hopeful that it wouldn’t be a long wait for a global launch after Riot stated:

“We’re excited to bring Valorant Mobile to as many players as possible, but we’re starting in China and taking it from there. We will, of course, update you as our plans develop further.”

Yet, other than the odd rumour, there has been no official comment on when other countries can expect to play the game.
