Trickshotterz Demo Date Revealed at Insider Gaming Showcase

Trickshotterz has the potential to be the perfect party game, combining elements of beer pong with Super Smash Bros. The game involves guns and, in a reverse Arkanoid setup, players need to avoid the balls that are shot out. With a fun art style and mid-air plays reminiscent of Rocket League, it looks like this game could offer a really enjoyable experience with friends.

As revealed during the Insider Gaming Showcase on May 28, the new gameplay trailer revealed all of the wacky chaos players can expect when the game releases later this year.

What Is Trickshotterz?

To learn more about Trickshotterz and its development, we sat down with the creator of the game, Jed Gould.

Key Features

Trickshotz Aplenty

This may come as no surprise, but one of the defining features of Trickshotterz is the wild trick shots that you can perform. Between bounce shots, mid-air plays, finding the right angles, and dynamic portal plays, there are plenty of options for securing the victory.

Powerups

With shots being the most important aspect of the game, multiple power balls can turn the tide in your favor at any point in the game. For example, there’s an RPG that bursts into a frenzy of mini balls. There’s also a Remote-Control Ball that you can use to properly guide shots through otherwise “impossible” angles.

There’s also a Shockwave Ball that will immediately send opponents into the stratosphere. Future power-ups will be, and according to the developer, they all promise to be chaotic and clip-worthy.

Awesome Abilities

In addition to the power-ups available during the match, players will select one ability that defines their play style before each round. Some of the abilities mentioned include Dash: a quick maneuver to either escape a shot or reposition for the perfect setup. Also, there’s the Vacuum ability that allows you to boomerang the ball back to you after you shoot it. The Wind Blast ability will allow you to parry anything, including your own ball, giving you a projectile boost. Future abilities will be revealed that can also change the way you play.
