Transformers: Reactivate Opening Cutscene Leaked

The opening cutscene for Transformers: Reactivate has seemingly been leaked.

In a post on Twitter by PlaysTFR, the scene that was shown was labeled “2020 opening cutscene”. It also goes over the game’s story and background that sees the Autobots and Decepticons working together with humans to save the world.

You can check out the scene for yourself below:

Transformers: Reactivate is a online action game developed by Splash Damage. The game, which will be available on console and PC and allows 1-4 players to play together.

“The gravest threat to humanity has arrived,” the game’s description reads. “And it’s already won. Earth is no longer ours; it belongs to them. All we have left is our hope for the Autobots, as we salvage them from the rubble left behind.”

Transformers: Reactivate was first announced at The Game Awards 2022. Since then, however, there has been no update on the game’s official release date. A beta for the game is expected in 2024 after the game was moved to Unreal Engine 5.

  • Game doesn’t even have fully animated cutscenes SMH. Hasbro was supposed to have a new AAA GI Joe game in development where is that thing?

  • Those type of cutscenes are often a sign of either lower budget or cut corners. Unless you’re really leaning into the comic aspect, it’s more likely one of the two. Like how Redfall had those terrible comic cutscenes or how Black Ops 4 zombies went from fully animated cutscenes to comic cutscenes because of budget slashing.
