Toys For Bob And Xbox Sign Agreement For New Game, Report Claims

Toys For Bob and Xbox have reached an agreement that will see the newly independent studio make its first game for Xbox.

According to Windows Central’s Jez Corden, Xbox’s Matt Booty reportedly told employees that the two companies had reached a deal for the new game. He didn’t, however, go into any detail about what that game would be.

Recently, Toys For Bob has been responsible for games like Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time, Spyro: Reignited Trilogy, and even Call of Duty: WarZone.

Toys For Bob had been owned by Activision Blizzard since 2005 but left after the latter had been purchased by Microsoft.

“Sources have indicated to [Windows Central] previously that Toys for Bob’s culture didn’t gel well with Activision’s oft-restrictive corporate mandates, and they were excited for the opportunity to spin out as independent in agreement with Microsoft,” Corden says.

Insider Gaming has reached out to Toys For Bob and Xbox for comment on the reported agreement. Should a response be received, this story will be updated accordingly.
