A flood of information has been revealed following a huge Steam leak, which shared the achievements for a host of upcoming and unannounced games, and it seems THQ’s Avengers title may have been revived.
Over 100 games had their achievements prematurely revealed by the leak, revealing key details like new worlds in Kingdom Hearts 4, and one title stood out among the unannounced games.
THQ’s Avengers Game May Be Back On
The long list of games that have seen their achievement lists leaked includes THQ’s Avengers title, which was cancelled way back in 2011, but it seems the title may not be dead.
While THQ as a studio is no more, THQ Nordic remains, and some of the assets and licenses were purchased by EA, including an Iron Man title, which is being worked on.
It’s not directly clear who, if anyone, is working on the Avengers title, and it may still all prove to be a red herring, as it’s not obvious how up-to-date the achievement list is.
A key worry for fans hoping for official news of the revival of the Avengers title is the last update to the list, which came 11 months ago in 2025, but, considering the game has been dead for a long time before that, there is still a chance.
The leak also comes fresh after a report from DanielRPK claiming that a new Avengers game, unconnected to Square Enix’s previous title, remains in development, but it’s not clear whether a THQ revival is what he was referring to.
We’ll have to wait and see for more news on any upcoming new Marvel games, but at least Wolverine is right around the corner to keep us occupied.
