Evil Empire, the developer who took over the live-ops of Dead Cells, has officially announced the upcoming release of The Rogue Prince of Persia.
First revealed via an exclusive on Insider Gaming, the official announcement came via a trailer at the end of the inaugural Triple-i Initiative Showcase.
“The Rogue Prince of Persia is their (Evil Empire) indie take on the iconic video game IP,” the trailers description reads. “In this action-platformer roguelite, players will take on the role of the titular Prince and flow between death-defying platforming and acrobatic combat as they battle through the capital city again and again with one goal – find a way to save Persia from a Hun invasion wielding dark magic.”
The new game will launch into Early Access on Steam on May 14.
