The Last of Us Episode 5 Will Air Early This Week

Episode 5 of The Last of Us TV show is due to be shown several days earlier than usual this week.

Rather than airing in its usual spot on Sunday night, this week’s The Last of Us episode will instead premiere on Friday, February 10th. You’ll want to tune in to HBO Max at 9pm ET / 6pm PT to catch it live in the US. The shift was announced to avoid the program clashing with this weekend’s Super Bowl.

According to SkyTV’s official Twitter account, UK viewers — while likely less concerned about the Super Bowl — will also receive the same time shift. That means the episode will become available to watch on SkyTV at 2am on Saturday, February 11th.

Consider this a fair spoiler warning, then, for those unable to watch the show at the newly adjusted time. Discussions of The Last of Us TV adaptation have been rife across social media following each and every episode. As a result, it’s been extremely difficult for those not watching right away to avoid having the events of the next episode revealed.

If you’re not planning on viewing The Last of Us episode five until a later date, you might want to set up those mute tags now.

The TV adaptation of Naughty Dog’s hit video game has received widespread praise from critics, who especially lauded the sections in which it breaks away from or expands upon events and characters in the game. The show has already been renewed for a second season, and its success has seen sales of both The Last of Us Part 1 and Part 2 skyrocket.

Are you looking forward to HBO’s The Last of Us Episode 5 this week?
