The Crew 2 and The Crew Motorfest Will Feature Offline Modes for ‘Long Term Access’

Ubisoft has confirmed offline modes for The Crew 2 and The Crew Motorfest “to ensure long-term access” for the community.

In December 2023, Ubisoft announced that the original The Crew would be taken offline due to “upcoming server infrastructure and licensing constraints”. The news didn’t sit well with the fans, with many expressing disappointment all across social media. Additionally, the community took it upon themselves to revive the game, with a dedicated team working to get it running by the Crew’s 10th anniversary.

It seems that Ubisoft understands the community’s sentiment and is committed to providing long-term access to both The Crew 2 and The Crew Motorfest. According to the new video on X, the developers are “currently exploring different solutions and can confirm an offline mode” for The Crew 2 and The Crew Motorfest. More details about the offline mode will be revealed in the coming months.

The Crew 2 and The Crew Motorfest are online-only racing games, the former released in 2018 and the latter in 2023. The decision to introduce an offline mode for these games has gone well with the fans, with many praising Ubisoft’s decision. However, some still wonder whether an offline mode is possible for the original game

In other news, Ubisoft was recently pressurised to go private as share prices continue to fall. Also, Ubisoft has stripped Vulcan API from Rainbow Six Siege. What are your thoughts on The Crew 2 and Motorfest receiving offline modes? Let us know in the comments.
