The Blood of Dawnwalker has reached a major sales milestone, with the new action RPG officially selling more than 1 million copies worldwide. Rebel Wolves confirmed the news on social media.
The Blood of Dawnwalker is the debut intellectual property from Rebel Wolves, a studio composed of former developers of The Witcher. The game is an open-world action RPG set in a macabre world of vampires.

The Blood of Dawnwalker has received several positive reviews in its first 48 hours. It has also achieved a significant sales milestone, as Rebel Wolves confirmed on social media that the game has surpassed 1 million copies sold. As I write this, the game has just surpassed its peak player count, with 65,433 concurrent players on Steam, per SteamDB.
The game has also attracted modders, with the most popular mod potentially defeating the purpose of the core game. Thus far, the game is living up to its hype. Still, it’s early days for the new title. In a year dominated by major releases from established studios, such as the upcoming juggernaut that is Grand Theft Auto 6, Blood of Dawnwalker shows there is still room for new studios to innovate in the AAA space.
Speaking of GTA 6, Netflix’s recent reveal of the game has sparked a surge in console purchases in the UK. That game is slated for release on November 19.
