Sorry, Zelda fans – it was recently revealed in an interview with Famitsu that there are currently no plans to produce any DLC for Tears of the Kingdom. By this point, most players had made their own minds up about this, especially considering the fact that the game was released almost four months ago and we’ve heard nothing about any expansions for it.
Tears of the Kingdom Could Be Finished
Is that all she wrote for TotK? It looks like it.
In the interview that was published in Famitsu, producer Eiji Aonuma and director Hidemaro Fujibayashi spoke about the future of the game, stressing that there’s nothing else coming for the title that many believe will be handed plenty of Game of the Year awards when the time comes.
There are no plans to release additional content at this time … I feel like I’ve done everything I can to create games in that world
Eiji Aonuma
Off the back of those comments, Aonuma then spoke about the future of the series, talking about what could potentially come next for the almost forty-year-old franchise.
If such a reason is newly born, it may return to the same world again. Whether it’s a sequel or a new work, I think it will be a completely new way to play, so I’d be happy if you could look forward to it.

So, that’s confirmation of sorts of a new Legend of Zelda game being planned? Or was that already an obvious statement to make?
