Zelda: Tears of The Kingdom Sells 10 Million Copies in 3 Days

Nintendo has announced that The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom has sold 10 million copies in just three days. The milestone makes Tears of the Kingdom the fastest-selling game in the history of the Zelda series.

The news comes following Monday’s report that Zelda: Tears of The Kingdom was the biggest boxed launch this year so far in the UK. Hogwarts Legacy, which has been this year’s biggest launch until now sold 12 million copies in its first two weeks – A figure likely to be beaten by Tears of the Kingdom in the coming days.

The game’s success comes following comments from the series producer, Eiji Aonuma, who suggested that Zelda herself might get her own adventure in a future game.

“We feel like what takes most priority is this idea of gameplay. If it turns out that the particular gameplay we’re trying to bring to fruition would be best served by having Zelda take that role, then it’s possible that that could be a direction we could take. With that said, of course, because we are not sure what the next gameplay experience is going to be, we can’t say what Zelda’s next step is going to be,” he said.

  • That’s amazing to see. Video games are quite popular these days.

I’ve read strong and positive reviews for this game, over the past couple of days. But I had no idea that this Zelda game had sold so many copies in such a short period of time. Thank you for the information.
