Battlestate Games has announced an extension of the Casus Belli event that dropped in Escape from Tarkov just a few days ago. If you’ve been pinged in the face by Pillagers too many times, then you’ll need to deal with it for a little longer, as the event now ends on April 20.
It was originally due to end today, April 15, but Battlestate extended the event and added two new achievements, one for each ending of the task line associated with the new event.
Casus Belli is a Solid Tarkov Event
Casus Belli represents one of the best Escape from Tarkov events in a minute. It’s a simple thing that introduces a new faction, Pillagers, and adds a few quests that have started a small war between Skier and Ref. It’s a cross-platform collaboration that ties together both Escape from Tarkov and Escape from Tarkov: Arena, and it’s not that difficult, as events go.
In addition to extending the event, Battlestate Games added two new achievements to Escape from Tarkov, but you’ll almost certainly only get one. That’s a problem for the players who love to complete and unlock everything, but you can only pick one path during this event.
If you side with Ref in Casus Belli, you’ll get the ‘Morituri te Salutant’ achievement, and if you choose Skier, you’ll get ‘Habet, hoc Habet!’
The arrival of the achievements is positive, but not for everyone. Those who gunned forward and completed the task line as soon as it came out didn’t have the privilege of unlocking an achievement at the time, and now, in some twisted way, they feel robbed. They’ll retrospectively get an achievement, but they didn’t know it would be one per path.
