Escape from Tarkov’s April Fool’s Day Task is Pretty Nuts

Battlestate Games has updated Escape from Tarkov with a new quest made specially for April Fool’s Day, and it’s pretty insane. What’s hilarious is that, despite how unrealistically challenging it is, the Tarkov crowd is relishing the thought of completing it.

It’s a new task called Bucket of Nothing, and to complete it, you need to eliminate Reshala and his guards while using the ‘Blicky’, the toy gun that fires plastic discs. Battlestate has tried to help players by buffing the Blicky’s ammunition, but it’s still pretty damn tricky.

How to Complete Bucket of Nothing in Tarkov

If you’ve logged into Escape from Tarkov today, you’ll notice there’s a new task waiting for you from Prapor, called Bucket of Nothing. The task’s description has Prapor bagging on the player, suggesting they’re being lazy and not training properly, and for that, they need to venture onto Customs and eliminate Reshala and three of his guards.

But the catch is, they can’t just use any weapon.

They have to use ‘a Toy gun’, which in this case, is the Blicky, a meme gun added to Escape from Tarkov for April Fool’s Day in 2024.

It’s not impossible, though, thanks to Battlestate Games buffing the Blicky’s ammunition, boosting it from 1 damage point to 25 damage points. To put that into perspective, the weakest common round in Escape from Tarkov is probably the HK AP SX, which boasts just 35 damage per shot but has high penetration and armor damage.

To complete Bucket of Nothing, you’re best off running into Customs with a normal weapon and making Reshala and his guards as weak as possible without killing them. Then, aim for the head and let loose with the Blicky.

But what do you get for completing Bucket of Nothing? Here are the rewards:

  • 25,000 EXP
  • 236,000 Rubles
  • 1 x AK-308
  • 3 x AK-308 Mag
  • 7 x 20 pcs M61 Ammo

That’s not a bad reward. If you find yourself running low on Blicky supplies, you’ll be pleased to know that Battlestate Games has also tweaked airdrops, and when you open your next one, you might just be faced with dozens of toy guns.

Let us know on the Insider Gaming Discord server if you’ve managed to complete Bucket of Nothing.
